Friends Turn Collaborators: Blake Shelley and Tony Muncy Launch Fundraising Campaign for Inspirational Documentary
Author, speaker, coach, and TikTok influencer with cerebral palsy teams up with childhood friend to form a business and inspire others
ESTACADA, OREGON, AUGUST 28, 2023 — Childhood friends turned collaborators Blake Shelley and Tony Muncy are embarking on a remarkable journey to share their unique story of friendship, triumph, and service with the world. This dynamic duo is excited to announce the launch of a fundraising campaign on August 25, 2023, to support the production of their inspiring documentary.
Shelley, an accomplished life coach, author, motivational speaker, and TikTok influencer with a following of nearly 300k, has overcome the challenges of living with Cerebral Palsy to become a beacon of strength and determination. Despite facing difficulties in everyday tasks, Shelley’s unwavering passion and dedication to improving lives have driven him to achieve success beyond expectations. His journey from diagnosis to empowerment has been nothing short of extraordinary. During the launch of Shelley’s first book, “Breaking Chains: The 6 Links of Turning Bondage into Tools of Freedom”, he was featured in the “Everyday Hero” segment on KATU, the ABC affiliate in Portland, OR.
Muncy, a gifted graphic designer, photographer, and creative mind, has been Shelley’s partner in countless ventures since their days as inseparable childhood friends. The duo’s bond, forged since second grade, has only strengthened over nearly three decades of friendship. Their resilience in the face of adversity and shared passion for making a difference led them to launch their collaborative initiative, Redwing Solutions.
Redwing Solutions, a venture that combines Shelley’s technical and motivational expertise and Muncy’s artistic talents, aims to help others share their stories in innovative and impactful ways. The duo’s vision extends beyond their own experiences as they seek to spotlight individuals with disabilities and unique friendships that positively impact the world.
In their pursuit of realizing this vision, Shelley and Muncy have partnered with the Breaking Chains Foundation, an organization dedicated to inspiring under-served demographics through motivational resources and coaching services, which Shelley founded in October 2018. To kickstart their ambitious documentary project and further their mission, Shelley and Muncy have initiated a fundraising campaign with a goal of $50,000. The funds will be used to purchase the necessary tools and resources to produce their documentary and enter it into prominent film festivals to inspire others to tell their stories.
“We have a big vision!” Muncy says. “Our dream is to be able to be that missing link that often holds back others from sharing their story by filming and producing documentaries for others with disabilities or similar friendships.”
“We believe that our story can inspire others to overcome challenges, pursue their passions, and make a meaningful impact,” Shelley says. “Through this documentary, we aim to showcase the power of friendship, resilience, and the potential within each of us to create positive change.”
